All necessary information for Speakers and Poster Authors of the International Meeting on Chemical Sensors 2025.

Please log in to the conference platform to upload a profile picture, which will appear in both the list of contributors and the programme.

After login, you can create your personal programme by saving favourites. To find your contributions, please use the “Search Function” and look for your presentation title, session title or your name.

Information for Poster Authors

Posters at the IMCS 2025 meeting will be presented in person as paper posters.

They will appear on poster boards in different poster exhibition areas (see floor plan at site). Your poster location will be identified by your abstract number. Posters will be arranged numerically and organised by topic. Poster authors are asked to be present at their poster during the designated poster session.

Poster guidelines

  • Accepted posters are printed paper poster (or cloth poster), shown at poster boards.
  • Poster authors have to bring their printed poster(s) to the venue.
  • Posters should be prepared in portrait A0 format: 1189 mm (46.8 inches) Height and 841 mm (33.1 inches) Width.
  • The fixation will be done with pins, which will be provided directly at the poster boards.
  • Authors are responsible for setting up and removing their posters during the below mentioned times.
  • Abstract title, author(s) and affiliation(s) should appear on top of the poster.
  • Please make sure that your poster can be read easily from a distance of 2 meters.
  • All posters must be written entirely in English.
  • Posters should be displayed on the assigned timeslot.
  • Any posters displayed at a different time than specified. Any posters not collected by Thursday at 13:30 will be discarded.

Poster set-up and presentation

Please set up your poster on Monday between 8 – 10 am. Please ensure that you are present at your assigned time slot to answer questions and engage with the audience.

Poster award

The poster award ceremony takes place at the networking dinner.

Presentation Management

Media-Check onsite

The Media-Check is behind the reception. Please hand in your presentation at least one hour before the start of the respective session or the day before.

Please bring your presentation on a USB flash drive with you.

 The use of own laptops for presentation is not possible.

General notes on presentation preparation & technical requirements

  • The displayed presentation time is exclusively for the talks. The time between the presentation slots is dedicated for Q&A.
  • Accepted presentation formats are PowerPoint and PDF. Not accepted formats are e.g. Apple Keynote etc.
  • The presentation format is 16:9.
  • Microsoft Office 365 on MS Windows 10 computers will be used during the congress.
  • If your presentation contains videos, embed them in the pptx presentation (linked videos are not recommended!). Common video formats are supported (preferred *.mov / *.mp4). Please use videos without sound.
  • In order to avoid problems with the display of fonts, the use of the following widely spread fonts is recommended: Arial, Courier, Courier New, Geneva, Georgia, Helvetica, Times, Times New Roman. Presentations that use non-standard Windows 10 or Office 365 fonts should be saved with the “embedded fonts” option.
  • Please ensure sufficient size for texts, diagrams, illustrations, etc.
  • There is no size limit for the files, but please note that large amounts of data take some time to be transferred. Please allow sufficient time for this at the media-check.
  • Please ensure that you check your presentation for spelling or other errors before uploading it to the pre-upload or at the media-check onsite
  • It is mandatory to include a slide with the financial disclosure statement directly after the intro slide. The financial disclosure slide should give information about your relation to companies (consultant, royalties, financial support or grants) and how this affects your paper/presentation.
  • Your presentation slides must not offend neither personal nor intellectual property rights. Responsibility and liability lie exclusively with you.
  • Presentations must be handed in beforehand onsite at the media-check at least one hour prior to the beginning of the session.

Onsite

  • All contributors are kindly asked to be in the session room at least 10 minutes before the session starts. Please introduce yourself to the chairs of the session.
  • The first row of each lecture hall is reserved for the speakers, please take a seat up in the front.
  • It is essential to keep in the time frame of your presentation within the session. A system of time keeping will support you. The displayed presentation time in the programme is exclusively for the talks. The time between the presentation slots is dedicated for Q&A.
  • The use of own laptops for presentation is not permitted. Please bring your presentation on a USB flash drive with you to the Media-Check.
