Will there be an option to attend IMCS virtually, or are the presentations/posters only accessible by attending live?
To facilitate networking and enhance learning opportunities, the IMCS Meeting in Freiburg will be a fully in-person event. There will be no stream or recording of the sessions.

Can I register at short notice?
Yes. Registrations are only possible online. On site, you will find our service counter (Congress Office) at the main entrance, which can be contacted in case of problems.

What will happen if my VISA application has been declined, would I get the money back?
According to our general Terms and conditions, a VISA refusal is no reason for a refund of the meeting fee paid in advance.
Where do I park? Are there any discounted parking tickets?
There are no discounts for car parking. The nearest car park „Konzerthaus-/Bahnhofsgarage“ is directly at the “Konzerthaus Freiburg”. Max. price: 30 EUR per day (as at: 1 July 2024).
What do I need to have ready on site?
Please have your eTicket at hand. You will receive your eTicket by email one week prior to the meeting.
What is the admission procedure? What documents do I need to bring with me?
You will need your eTicket, which you received by email. You will find your QR code on the eTicket, which you can use to print out your name badge. Please always carry your name badge with you.
Where can I get my name badge and lanyard?
Please bring your eTicket (on an electronic device or in printed form) with you on arrival. Scan the code at the badge printer on the 1st floor to receive your name badge. You can also get the matching lanyard here.
You are running late and want to attend a session directly? Simply print out your name badge later.
Programme & Events
Will there be a printed congress programme?
Yes, our pocket guide with daily overviews and all-important information will be available onsite. The detailed programme is available at any time in the web programme on the meeting website.
Will there be an abstract publication?
After the conference, you can publish a full paper based on your IMCS contribution in a peer-reviewed Focus Issue dedicated to IMCS 2025. This Focus Issue encompasses the ECS Sensors Plus and the Journal of The Electrochemical Society
Important dates:
- Submission opens directly after the IMCS on June 27, 2025
- Submission closes on January 10, 2026
Only contributions presented at the conference are eligible for publication in the Focus Issue. Please note that the Focus Issue is peer-reviewed. Acceptance to the conference does not guarantee acceptance of the paper in the Focus Issue.
Will there be a poster presentation?
No. There are no oral poster presentations. The poster authors are kindly ask to be present at their poster during the official Poster Sessions on Tuesday and Thursday to answer questions. All poster information are available here: https://imcs2025.com/contributors/
Where do I hand in my presentation? What should I look out for in the speaker preparation room?
Media-Check onsite
The Media-Check is behind the reception. Please hand in your presentation at least one hour before the start of the respective session or the day before.
Please bring your presentation on a USB flash drive with you.
The use of own laptops for presentation is not possible.

Will there be a Welcome Reception?
Yes, on Sunday, 22 June 2025 at 7 p.m. at the Fraunhofer IPM (Georges-Köhler-Allee 301, 79110 Freiburg im Breisgau). For more Information, please click here. It is free of charge; registration required.
Will there be a Get together?
Yes, on Monday, 23 June 2025 at 7.00 p.m. at the “ Historical merchants’ hall” (Münsterplatz 24, 79098 Freiburg im Breisgau). For more information, please click here. Registration: online 20 EUR
Will there be a Networking dinner?

How can I get my certificate of attendance?
By scanning the QR code, your participation is automatically recorded. As the documents are updated per scan, the download of the certificates will only be activated after the end of the event.
After the meeting, you can download the certificates in your Account under “Certification”. You will also receive an e-mail as soon as the documents are available for download.
Exhibition & Service
Where will the exhibition take place?
The accompanying industrial exhibition will take place at the foyer on the 1st floor. You will find an overview of the exhibiting companies in the pocket guide and in the congress app.

Where can I get something to eat and drink?
You will find various free catering services in the exhibition area during coffee and lunch breaks. Water is available at all times. During the official breaks, tasty snacks for small appetites will also be available there and free of charge.
Is there kosher food?
The caterer cannot provide kosher food.
Is there a wardrobe/cloakroom?
Yes, on the ground floor of the foyer, directly after the entrance area. The wardrobe/cloakroom is guarded and free of charge.
Is there free Wi-Fi?
Yes.
